Paul Bunyan Telephone (PBT) now offers customers the chance to get occasional e-mail updates on the latest news and events at the cooperative. There is no charge for PBT E-mail Updates and participants will be entered into monthly drawings for some great prizes.

The e-mail updates will highlight current and upcoming new movie releases and other content available through PBTV On Demand, local events you can find the cooperative at, and other information pertaining to the cooperative at the time.

All those subscribed to PBT E-mail Updates on the first of every month will be automatically entered into the monthly PBT E-mail Update prize drawings.

The first e-mail update will be sent in early August, so sign up now!

PBTV On Demand has added more free content for you to enjoy from six different networks. You can now find programs from MTV, Comedy Central, VH1, Nickelodeon, CMT, and Spike TV under the FREE category.

To find PBTV On Demand, hit menu on your remote and go to PBTV On Demand.

If you do not have access to PBTV On Demand, contact us to see if it is available at your location. If it is available, we will install it at no charge to current PBTV customers for a limited time.

Boundary Waters Blues Festival presented by Paul Bunyan Telephone is this Weekend, July 29-August 1 in Grand Rapids

Paul Bunyan Telephone presents the Boundary Waters Blues Festival in Grand Rapids July 29-August 1. Celebrating it’s 10th year, the festival is moving from Ely to Grand Rapids this year and will be held at the Itasca County Fairgrounds. The Boundary Waters Blues Festival features three days of great blues music, camping, and fun.

Paul Bunyan Telephone presents the 5th Annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival August 5-7

Paul Bunyan Telephone is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 5th Annual Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival August 5-7 in Bemidji. The event is organized by the Bemidji Rotary Club and Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce and the festival grounds are open Thursday through Saturday. Over 60 teams will be competing in this year’s races on Saturday, which start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude around 4:30 p.m. There will be great entertainment all weekend long in the Dragon’s Den, free of charge! Thursday will feature Mix 103.7’s retro 80’s show, Friday it’s Bob and the Beachcombers, and Saturday the festival concludes with the Billy D & the Crystals.

Your cooperative is involved with all phases of the event again this year, including Chief Operating Officer Gary Johnson serving as co-chair of the entire festival, Marketing Supervisor Brian Bissonette serving as the Festival Announcer, and two Paul Bunyan Telephone teams racing. Dora the Explorer is coming to Tall Timber Days in Grand Rapids Saturday, August 7

Nickelodeon and Paul Bunyan Telephone are excited to bring Dora the Explorer to Tall Timber Days in Grand Rapids Saturday, August 7! Bring your kids and camera to have their picture taken with Dora. Dora will be available from noon to 3 p.m. on 3rd Street outside the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce.

Paul Bunyan Telephone will also be giving out free gifts while supplies last.

Walkaround Cookie Monster a Big Hit in Deer River!

Over 350 kids turned out at the Deer River Wild Rice Festival for the chance to meet PBS’s Walkaround Cookie Monster and pick up a gift from Paul Bunyan Telephone. It was the 62nd year the Deer River Lion’s Club has put on the event and it is the world’s largest Wild Rice Festival. Thanks to all who stopped by!
